MAMLOUK HANDMADE WOOL AREA RUG

The production of surviving Mamluk carpets began in the second half of the fifteenth century and continued until the mid-sixteenth century. Using only the finest of wools, these handwoven rugs are truly timeless classics. Mamluk Carpets have distinctive features in their design, often dominated by geometric motifs and were colored in mostly red with accents of blues, yellows, and greens.
